B.C.'s third and final Coastal Class ferry departed its shipyard in Germany this week, but before it arrives at home it will travel one of the most famous rivers in the world.

The Coastal Celebration will make a special trip up the Thames River in London, England next month and moor near the famous Tower Bridge.

The 160-metre-long ferry -- one of the largest double-ended ferries in the world -- will be promoting the 2010 Olympic Games and tourism in B.C.

The trip will take approximately 45 days depending on weather, according to B.C. Ferries, and will arrive in B.C. waters in late June.

The Coastal Celebration is wrapped in photographic images of the 2010 Olympic Games and scenic pictures of B.C.
