Spring break is over and classes resume this morning for most public schools across B.C., but Teachers' Federation president Susan Lambert says the situation is anything but normal.
As the break began for many students, the BCTF was legally able to conduct job action -- but all that changed when Bill 22 became law more than a week ago, forcing an end to strike activities.
The BC Public School Employers' Association is now telling teachers to begin preparing the first report cards of the year for students in all 60 school districts.
Although teachers will resume administrative and supervisory tasks, Lambert says her members will vote in mid-April on whether to withdraw extracurricular activities or stage a full-scale strike to protest the back-to-work legislation.
