A senior from Salt Spring Island, B.C. has been shot and killed in a home invasion in Mexico.
Robin Wood, 67, died Tuesday morning after burglars broke into a home in the Pacific coast resort town of Melaque, friends say. The nearest hospital was 20 kilometres away and he died before emergency crews could get him there.
Wood was a retired mechanic and the former owner of the Beddis Road Garage.
