The operator of an unlicensed Coquitlam daycare where a baby boy died suddenly last year has been charged with criminal negligence.
Maria McFerran appeared in court Monday morning to face charges of criminal negligence causing death, failing to provide necessaries and obstructing justice in connection with the sudden death of a one-year-old boy on Jan. 17, 2011.
McFerran was the operator of "Rattle N' Roll Daycare," which has no record of a business licence. In a Craiglist ad for the business, she boasted of having 22 years' experience.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 18 in Port Coquitlam.
