The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has lifted quarantines from two B.C. farms after tests for a bacterial disease came back negative.
The United States said B.C. cattle tested negative for a bacterial disease called brucellosism, and imposed restrictions on accepting certain cattle and bison until they've tested negative.
Canadian officials say new tests show suspected cases of brucellosis appears to have been caused by another bacteria that's known to create false-positive results.
The inspection agency says it's working to convince U.S. officials to lift their restrictions.
