Vancouver residents eager to cast their ballots in the upcoming civic election can do so starting Wednesday at City Hall or a handful of community centres.
The city has set up eight days of advance polling locations leading up to the Nov. 19 election, with translation services available in 180 languages.
Voters are reminded that they no longer need a reason to vote in advance.
City Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 8, 12, 15 and 16. It will be open from noon until 8 p.m. on Nov. 10, 11, 13 and 14.
The following community centres will also host advance polling stations from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 9, 12, 15 and 16:
- Dunbar Community Centre (4747 Dunbar St.)
- Renfrew Community Centre (2929 East 22nd Ave.)
- Sunset Community Centre (6810 Main St.)
- West End Community Centre (870 Denman St.)
Anyone who received a "Where to Vote" card in the mail is already registered to vote in the election, and can use the card to vote at an advance polling location. No other identification is required.
Anyone not registered, or who did not receive a voting card, must bring two pieces of Id to establish name, address and signature.
