ContactMartin MacMahon joined the CTV News Vancouver newsroom in December 2023 after working in Vancouver radio for nearly 12 years.
Martin began his career as a part-time reporter and anchor with CKNW in 2012, before moving onto what was then known as NEWS 1130 in 2014.
His most memorable career moment was interviewing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau live on air, as Donald Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6, 2021.
That interview was part of a newscast that was recognized with a Murrow Award.
Another memorable story involved the shooting of bike shop owner Paul Dragan in 2014 in Yaletown by a former employee, and the ensuing shootout between the former worker and police around Science World. Martin’s live reporting from the scene was recognized with a Radio Television Digital News Association award.
