A parking spot in Whistler, B.C. is on the market for $110K
Any skiers looking to avoid circling the parking lots at the world-famous Whistler Blackcomb resort can now solve that problem—but it comes with a six-figure price tag.
An underground parking space right next to the Blackcomb gondola is on the market for $110,000.
Stall 106, located in the Glacier Lodge, went up for grabs in early December and its Realtor Dave Brown tells CTV News there has been substantial interest in purchasing it.
Inquiring buyers would be in good company—in 2024, five parking stalls at the hotel have sold for around $110,000, and 10 in the previous two years in the same price range.
Brown says a worry-free pow day is the selling point.
“This is for somebody who just wants to be able to drive up and immediately park and not worry about the frustration of trying to find a parking spot in Whistler,” he said. “Somebody who has the disposable income to make this type of purchase and then just enjoys the convenience.”
He says that since the pandemic, when reservations were required to ski and you could only ride the gondolas with your group, people have got in the habit of arriving at the mountain earlier and earlier, making parking spots harder to come by.
And while the listed price may sound steep, similar offerings have gone for much more in Whistler. In the fall of 2023, a parking spot underneath the Pan Pacific Hotel sold for a record $195,000 after being on the market for only a week.
