A large sinkhole has swallowed a section of the ramp connecting eastbound Lougheed Highway and the Mary Hill Bypass near the Pitt River Bridge in Port Coquitlam.
Crews say it started with a broken water main around 9 p.m. Sunday night.
The burst sent water shooting more than two metres into the air and eventually flooded the area.
A sinkhole then formed, measuring at least three metres wide and one metre deep.
The ramp was reopened Monday evening, but more work is expected to be done in the coming days.
