The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been dispatched to Coquitlam to probe a suspicious death.
Coquitlam RCMP say a deceased adult was found after receiving a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 4000-block of Quarry Road early Friday morning.
The body was found near the vehicle, and police believe the death is suspicious in nature based on its initial investigation.
RCMP say the area around the scene is expected to be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.
