Police are investigating two shootings during a 12 hour period in Chilliwack on Saturday.
Chilliwack RCMP Staff Sgt. Warren Tyson says the first shooting was just before 5 a.m. at the Chilliwack Motor Inn.
One male in his forties, who is known to police, suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower part of his body.
He is still in the hospital and was not entirely cooperative with police.
No arrests have been made in what police are calling a targeted shooting.
In the second incident police received reports of shots fired at a home in the 8900 block of Broadway just before 6 p.m.
Multiple bullet holes were found in the windows and walls of the house.
No one was home at the time and there were no injuries.
Police are trying to find out why the house was targeted.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
