For the second time in less than a week Metro Vancouver Starbucks patrons were given a shock after a vehicle plowed into a busy coffee shop.

On Wednesday morning, a small car crashed through the side of the Starbucks in East Vancouver.

Police say the grey car was on East Hastings Street near Kaslo when it lost control and collided with another vehicle. The impact sent the small car careening into the side of the coffee shop’s patio – and right through the plate glass windows.

No word on the condition of either driver but no one inside was injured.

On April 22, a man sitting outside a Starbucks in Surrey suffered a non-life-threatening leg injury after he was hit by a white sedan.

The collision scattered glass onto the sidewalk and scattered patio furniture.

Mounties at the scene told CTV News the crash was an accident and it wouldn’t pursue charges against the driver.
