A B.C. cabinet minister who was ticketed for speeding has promised to learn a lesson from the slip-up.
Transportation Minister Todd Stone was driving his family to the ferry on Vancouver Island when a police officer caught him going over the limit and ticketed him $196.
On Friday, he apologized and assured the public he’ll set a better example going forward.
“This was unacceptable,” Stone said in a statement. “I can assure you I will learn from this; I need to be more careful and it won’t happen again.”
The ticket has been paid, according to a spokeswoman from Stone’s ministry.
