Day 1: Vancouver to Pender Harbour
Take a scenic, 40-minute cruise through spectacular marine and mountain scenery, from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and the Sunshine Coast. On arrival, stop in the nearby village of Gibsons to browse the shops and galleries. Head north, past stunning ocean vistas and through lush forests to Sechelt, the cultural centre of the Sunshine Coast. Learn about the Sechelt Nation at the House of Hewhiwus, and enjoy the local attractions and activities before continuing on to Pender Harbour located at the northern end of the Sechelt Peninsula. Nestled among five acres of Douglas fir, red cedar and arbutus trees, the Painted Boat Resort has a distinctly West Coast look and feel. Its protected, deep-water marina is a beautiful place to get out on the water. Arrive at your leisure and check in for your two night stay at Painted Boat Resort, where you will be treated during your stay to two single kayaks for up to two hours each including equipment. Paddle through the sheltered waters of Pender Harbour and explore the shoreline and marine life by kayak.
Day 2: Pender Harbour
Spend your day enjoying the activities provided in Pender Harbour and at Painted Boat Resort. Start your day out at the fitness center, take a swim in the infinity edge pool (heated from May to Sept), or the hot pool (open year round), all the time enjoying the stunning harbour view. Walk down to the marina to paddle a kayak during your stay or visit the onsite, fully appointed luxury Spa complete with a heated salt water pool (open year round), hot pool, sauna, and steam room. Make an appointment for either a massage, facial, or manicure. End your day with a dining experience at our waterfront restaurant all the time relaxing with the sunset. If you're feeling adventurous, ask the front desk about a marine tour, or fishing and hiking options in the area.
Day 3: Pender Harbour to Vancouver
In the afternoon, depart Painted Boat Resort for your return journey to Vancouver, where your adventure comes to an end.
