Investigators with the Vancouver police are appealing to the public for help after an 80-year-old man was found suffering from serious injuries in Stanley Park.
The Vancouver senior was found behind the wheel of his 2011 grey Toyota Corolla around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 after police were called by a passerby to the parking lot north of Brockton Oval.
The man was rushed to hospital and remains in serious condition.
Const. Jason Doucette is calling the case "a mystery" and says they're trying to determine how he ended up being seriously injured.
“Even the smallest tip could help us find out what happened to this man," he said in a statement.
He told CTV News the man hasn't been able to talk to them yet, but that police believe a crime was committed.
Anyone who saw the grey Corolla or has information is asked to call the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
