Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old man near a Burnaby SkyTrain Station last month.
James Enright died in hospital Feb. 15 after getting stabbed in a fight with a group of strangers at the Edmonds Station bus loop.
Police said at the time Enright “died because he tried to help someone,” but have not provided further details on what happened.
Jesse Evan Ali Sellam, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder and 18-year-old Taitusi Funaki Vikilani has been charged with manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm.
IHIT spokeswoman Sgt. Stephanie Ashton called it a “grueling investigation” that required the help of many witnesses.
“It is with the help of the public and the media this matter is now before the courts,” she said.
Both Sellam and Vikilani remain in custody pending a court appearance.
