The Supreme Court of Canada says the street racer who killed a Vancouver woman nearly nine years ago can be deported to India.
Canada's highest court has tossed out a Federal Court of Appeal ruling that called for reconsideration of a deportation order for Sukhvir Singh Khosa.
He has been fighting the order on humanitarian grounds, saying he moved to Canada 13 years ago when he was a teenager.
Khosa and Bahadur Singh Bhalru were convicted two years after a November 2000 high speed crash killed 51-year-old pedestrian Irene Thorpe in south Vancouver.
Bhalru left Canada in 2005 after both men were given conditional sentences and ordered out of the country -- but Khosa has been fighting deportation ever since.
