KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Thieves with a penchant for sweets ransacked a Kamloops church and then enjoyed some pie and ice cream before making a getaway.
Police say the culprits stole two laptop computers, electronic equipment including a digital camera and some gift cards before going for the dessert.
RCMP Sgt. Scott Wilson says they caused significant damage, knocking over items and tossing them throughout the church.
He says the thieves broke a window to get into the building.
In nearby Penticton, RCMP say vandals recently struck a cemetery, pushing over headstones and spraying graffiti on others.
Satanic symbols and upside down crosses were sprayed on some of the stones, along with obscene slogans.
