A small sinkhole opened up on a busy street in Vancouver’s Dunbar-Southlands neighbourhood Thursday.

The sinkhole formed in the 3800-block of Southwest Marine Drive at around 5 p.m., but did not demage any neighbouring properties.

City crews managed to fill it before 7 p.m., and are expected to finish repairing the street on Friday.

A sinkhole last hit the city in December 2010 several kilometres east on the same road, at the Fraser Street intersection.

The massive open pit closed the commuter corridor for 11 days before it filled and paved.
