Teether recalled

The Fun Ice Chewy Teether by Munchkin is being voluntarily recalled after testing found dangerous bacteria in its gel filling. While no tots have become sick, babies could be exposed to the bacteria if the teethers are perforated during use. They come in various shapes like a hand, foot, or animal and 82,000 were distributed across Canada.

Puppet recalled

22,000 Squeaky Puppets were bought across the country and are now being recalled. When squeezed, the puppet makes a squeaking noise and a whistle tongue comes out of its mouth. The problem is the eyes and squeaker can detach and pose a choking hazard.

Bouncy seat recalled

Finally 730 of the BabyBjrn Babysitter Balance Bouncy seats are being recalled after loose metal fragments were detected in the padded fabric of the seats. Two customers, complained to the company. If you have this bouncy seat, contact the manufacturer BabySwede for instructions on how to return it for inspection and re-labeling.

If you have one of the teethers or a puppet, those companies are just advising you take the products away from children and dispose of them no refunds are being offered. Health Canada has more information.
