Ricky Gervais’ Vancouver film shoot may be keeping him busy, but the British comedian still made time to pose with a “huge fan” on Tuesday.
The two-time Golden Globe Awards host has been tweeting up a storm since arriving in town for his role in Night at the Museum 3, most recently punning about a trip to Granville Island.
Spent the morning on wonderful Granville Island, Vancouver. Stopped to have my photo taken with a huge fan too. pic.twitter.com/HEG9isx30D

Days before he propelled the public art piece into the spotlight, Gervais threw in with local Olympic spectators cheering on Team Canada during the men’s gold medal hockey game in Sochi.
Today, I am half Canadian. #GoCanadaGo

In a less topical tweet, the creator and star of Derek and The Office shared a photo of himself soaking in the bath of his trailer, which he compared to a “cosy little Canadian log cabin.”
I've consumed Olympic calories today. I thought this country was healthy. Not complaining :) #canadianbathpic pic.twitter.com/3tb2j85ttr

Between promotional tweets for his upcoming role in Muppets Most Wanted and pictures of his cat Ollie, Gervais also gave a shout-out to Canadian culture.
I'd forgotten how polite, happy and charming Canadians are. What a delightful country.

Ben Stiller, star of the Night at the Museum franchise, is also back in Vancouver for filming. All three movies have been shot in the city.
The latest sequel is set for release on Christmas Day 2014.
