Mounties are searching for suspects following a violent home invasion in Port Coquitlam early Wednesday morning.

The victims, a man and woman, told police three men forced their way into their apartment on Burleigh Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

The pair were restrained and the intruders made off with an unconfirmed amount of cash.

Police said the man suffered minor injuries and both victims were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
