Legendary singer-songwriter Prince has donated hundreds of tickets to his Monday and Tuesday night shows in Vancouver, with proceeds benefiting a local charity.
The 200 tickets were up for grabs tonight at Save On Meats, according to the diner’s Facebook page, and sold for a minimum of $50 per ticket. They reportedly sold out before 6:30 p.m.
The full-price tickets for each of Prince’s four scheduled Vancouver tour dates are $275 after taxes and service charges.
The money raised through the charity tickets will go to the Better Life Foundation, an organization that was taken over by Meats owner Mark Brand and has a goal of delivering 1,000 meals to in-need Vancouverites every day.
