Vancouver's entertainment district is the scene of yet another murder.
Police are canvassing a large area downtown for clues this morning after a fatal shooting outside a strip club that killed one man, and injured another.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. last night outside the Cecil at Granville St. and Drake St.
Police arrived at the scene to find one man dead with a bullet wound to the head. As they investigated, they found a second victim several blocks away.
That man had been shot in the leg. He is in hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the incident started as a fight between two groups inside the bar, and spilled outside.
Witnesses who were inside say there was a heated argument inside the club, with tables overturned and glasses smashed.
Now police want to speak with anyone who may have seen what happened.
"By the time police got here, some of the people may have left," said Insp. Rollie Woods.
"There were more than 20 people have been identified as potential witnesses and taken to police headquarters to be interviewed," he said.
Tow trucks were brought in earlier this morning, and took away at least four vehicles that may be connected to the shooting.
So far, police have not made any arrests.
