A man is dead and a woman is injured following a shooting near Terrace, B.C. Saturday, according to RCMP.
Mounties and the North District Major Crime Unit are investigating the incident, which occurred in the small community of Thornhill before 1 p.m.
The female victim is in stable condition in Terrace Hospital, according to Const. Lesley Smith.
Details are few and far between, and Mounties are still trying to piece together happened, Smith said.
She said investigators will provide new information as it becomes available.
Unconfirmed reports say those in the area of Kleanza Creek are being told to stay indoors.
It is unknown whether police are still searching for a suspect.
