U.S. rockers Kings of Leon have cancelled their U.S. tour and postponed their upcoming show in Vancouver days after lead singer Caleb Followill walked off stage in Dallas.
Followill reportedly told Friday's crowd in Texas that he was going backstage to vomit, but promised "I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and I'm gonna play three more songs."
He never returned, and promoter Live Nation announced Monday that the band's U.S. tour was cancelled due to vocal problems and exhaustion.
They are due to return to the road on Sept. 28 at Vancouver's Rogers Arena, two weeks after their scheduled stop in the city.
Bassist Jared Followill took to Twitter after Friday's show, offering an apology to fans and citing "internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed."
A statement from the Nashville-based band says members "need to take this break" in order to give fans the shows they deserve.
