CTV News has confirmed that the weekend wedding ceremony for actress Scarlett Johansson and B.C.-born actor Ryan Reynolds took place at a wilderness resort on Vancouver Island.
The Saturday ceremony was held at the remote Clayoquot Wilderness Resort near the west coast surfing town of Tofino.
The resort can be reached by a 60 minute floatplane ride from the small town.
A spokesperson for the Tartan Group - who represents the Lodge - says it is a remote spot that is very popular for honeymoons.
Ceremony guests included Johansson's mother, Melanie Sloan and her brother Adrian Johansson.
The couple announced their engagement in May.
This is the first marriage for both, but Vancouver born and raised Reynolds was previously engaged to Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morisette.
Two of his three brothers work as police officers in British Columbia.
Reynolds starred in the T-V show "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place'' and the romantic comedy "Definitely, Maybe.''
He is set to star in the upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Fireflies in the Garden" with Julia Roberts, as well as "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock.
Johansson most recently starred in the Woody Allen film "Vicky Christina Barcelona.''
