Wind and hot, dry weather has resulted in flare-ups of forest fires across British Columbia.

Here's a summary of the major ones:

Kamloops Fire Centre

The Martin Mountain fire near Pritchard, east of Kamloops, has grown to 400 hectares and forced the evacuation of 100 residents.

The Community Lake Plateau fire between Kamloops and the Sun Peaks ski resort is 20 hectares and has led to an evacuation alert involving about 250 people.

The Notch Hill fire just south of Sorrento is 1,000 hectares and 40 percent contained.

An evacuation order in the area has been partially rescinded. Residents living in properties north of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks are now permitted to return to their homes, but remain on evacuation alert.

An evacuation alert has been issued for the Turtle Valley.

Cariboo Fire Centre

*The massive Kelly Creek wildfire near Clinton in the Cariboo is getting even larger. It is now about 13,500 hectares.

There is an evacuation alert for the following areas: the Village of Clinton; Big Bar Road from the intersection with Big Bar Ferry Road to the intersection with Highway 97; south along Highway 97 to the intersection with Kelly Lake Road; west along Kelly Lake Road to the intersection with Jesmond Road; north along Jesmond Road to Big Bar Ferry Road.
