Vancouver police are warning the public a convicted sex offender will be living in the city after being released from jail for a sex assault in 2006.

Police say while he was incarcerated, Jason Neil Beaudry was assessed as a high risk to re-offend both violently and sexually.

They say the 32-year-old also failed to complete any treatment programs to address his sexual violence.

Beaudry was released under conditions that he not drink alcohol or consume drugs, stay away from bars, not have any weapons, and obey a curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

He is described as a 5-11 tall aboriginal man, 190 lbs. with brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on his left ear.

Anyone who sees Beaudry violating the conditions of his release is asked to call 911.
