Grieving family members are arriving in Tofino following the capsizing of a whale-watching boat and the deaths of at least five passengers over the weekend.
A sixth person, a 27-year-old man from Australia, is still missing and his family has also travelled to the west coast of Vancouver Island to be updated on efforts to recover his body.
Witnesses say Sydney resident Rav Pillay sank below the surface, painting a bleak picture of the odds he will be found alive.
The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) told CTV News their investigative crew was being pulled out of Tofino on Thursday. Electronics were extracted from the capsized boat over the last several days, and have been sent to Ottawa for examination.
Divers tried twice Wednesday to scour the bottom of the ocean near where the Leviathan II went down on Sunday after being hit by what has been described as a large wave -- but poor weather forced suspension of the search.
By Thursday afternoon the TSB said the Leviathan II had been righted, and was being transported to a secure location to be examined.
