The party atmosphere in Vancouver during last year's Olympics will be recreated next month with a series of free events to mark the one-year anniversary of the Games.
B.C. government and city of Vancouver officials say the events on Feb. 12 will include entertainment, arts celebrations and a street party.
The focus of the provincial celebrations will be downtown Vancouver's Robson Square, which was a magnet for crowds during the Games because of various attractions, including an overhead zipline.
Festivities will include free public skating on the square's outdoor rink, free admission to the nearby Vancouver Art Gallery, and a lighting of the Olympic cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza on the city's waterfront.
There will also be a parade, street hockey and entertainment on Granville Street, a street party in the Yaletown district and an Asian arts and culture display outside the art gallery.
On Feb. 17, a special ceremony will be held at the legislature in Victoria to honour B.C.'s athletes and artists.
CTV Online has launched a special anniversary site, 2010.ctv.ca, to share your Olympic memories.
