Four more people died in B.C. from the H1N1 flu virus in the past week, health officials said Tuesday.
There were also 109 new cases that required hospitalization.
But the overall number of deaths and severe cases continues to decline, officials said.
Still, they encouraged those who haven't yet done so to get immunized.
"Don't let H1N1 spoil your holiday," said Eric Young, provincial deputy health officer.
Since the H1N1 outbreak in April, there have been 34 deaths and 863 hospitalizations. Of the 34 who died, 29 had underlying medical conditions and four did not. One case is still under investigation.
Eligibility for the H1N1 vaccine opened up late last week to all people in the province after being restricted to certain priority groups.
Young said Tuesday that more than 7,000 people got immunized last Friday and Saturday without having to wait in long lines.
B.C. will get 1.4 million doses of the vaccine in the next two weeks, equal to the total amount the province has received over the last six weeks, Young said.
