Investigators looking into the sexual assault of a six-year-old girl in Surrey, B.C., last week, say they think they know the identity of a woman who may have seen something.
The woman is seen on surveillance-camera footage walking behind a group of children, including the six-year-old victim and two boys.
The video was captured on July 3rd by a private camera on 62nd Ave. near the King George Highway.
Minutes later, police say a man with a knife forced the children into the woods, and then assaulted the girl while threatening her older brother and his friend not to leave.
RCMP Sgt. Roger Morrow says after extensive canvassing, investigators believe they have identified the woman, who is away on holidays right now.
