The Vancouver Canucks have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final with a 3-2 double overtime win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final series.

The Canucks had a 3-1 lead in the series going into the game.

In the first period, Alex Burrows connected with Henrik and Daniel Sedin to put the Canucks on the board.

In the second frame, Dan Boyle's shot from the point was deflected by Patrick Marleau and into the Vancouver net for a power play goal.

Early in the third, Joe Pavelski slid the puck past a sprawling Roberto Luongo and onto the stick of Devin Setoguchi, who put the puck in the empty net.

In the dying seconds of regulation, Ryan Kesler tipped in a shot by Henrik Sedin to send the game to overtime.

In the second overtime, Kevin Bieksa's point shot caught Antti Niemi by surprise for the winner.
