North Vancouver RCMP are investigating after a body was found at Cleveland Dam Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews found the body at about 1:15 p.m. after responding to reports of a drowning. A person walking by the area called to report a person in the water.
"At this point it’s extremely difficult to even determine how long they were actually in the water. No one witnessed it take place, it was just reported as somebody in the water on the rocks at the bottom," said District of North Vancouver Fire Rescue Asst. Chief Brian Hutchinson.
North Shore Rescue removed the body with a long line. Police said they plan to release more information Monday.
