ContactJordan Jiang is CTV News Vancouver's weekday overnight ENG Camera Operator who is in search for news when the sun sets, and doesn't stop until the sun rises.
He has covered many fires, car accidents, shootings, crime scenes, floods and other breaking news.
His first television experience was when he interned at CBC Vancouver and Shaw TV.
He eventually got a technical internship at CTV News Vancouver in 2012, where he worked part time as a studio camera operator on CTV Morning Live along with other newscasts.
He then moved to other roles within the studio and control room.
Jordan decided it would be a great opportunity to explore ENG operations, and was trained as a microwave truck operator in 2014.
Jordan joined the ENG department in 2015 as the weekend overnight shooter, and continues to hunt for news overnight when the city is asleep.
He also worked on a CTV News W5 series called "48 Hours," during the Fentanyl overdose crisis.
Jordan graduated BCIT's Broadcast Television and Video Production program in 2012.
He grew up in East Vancouver, and has lived across the Metro Vancouver region.
When he is not in search for breaking news, Jordan can be found at the local gun range, in search for good eats, watching shows on Netflix or hiking our local trails.
