Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., say they foiled a break-and-enter in progress in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to the Kamloops RCMP, officers were called to a commercial property in the 1000 block of Hillside Drive around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the suspects entered multiple storage containers and stole from them. The detachment did not specify what was inside the containers.

“Thanks to updates provided to the responding police officers, they were able to quickly locate the first two suspects nearby and arrest them,” said spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn in a news release.

“As part of the investigation, two other suspects were also arrested soon after, and stolen merchandise was recovered and returned.”

Out of the four arrested, police say they released one person without process and the other three were released with court dates and conditions. One individual was already wanted for arrest, and he appeared in court before being released with the next date set for Monday.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident to call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
