Police are investigating a taxi accident that left two people injured in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside Wednesday morning.
A cab from Burnaby-based Bonny’s Taxi struck a pair of pedestrians near the intersection of Main and Hastings streets around 6:30 a.m.
Both were taken to hospital, where one remains in serious condition, accoding to authorities. The other suffered only minor injuries.
A sneaker and a hat could be seen on the roadway after the incident.
Police said the taxi driver remained at the scene, and the cause of the collision is still being investigated.
