Mounties on Vancouver Island are looking for the people who spray painted the face of a passed-out man.

Westshore RCMP said the 48-year-old man was severely intoxicated, with parts of his body and face covered in brightly coloured spray paint, when he was arrested Tuesday.

“Well it’s actually frustrating somebody, first of all, would take advantage of somebody who can’t do anything about it,” said Sgt. Max Fossum.

“Secondly is, somebody who is at that level of intoxication, we want to know about it…things can happen when you’re intoxicated, like for example, choke on your own vomit and so forth.”

RCMP said the man does not remember being attacked.

They are hoping somebody will recognize the tags so they can find the person or people responsible
