The organization that represents the scuba diving industry in this province has revealed more details about an accident that killed two divers off Nanaimo.
Three divers from the United States were in the water Friday afternoon near Snake Island, but an accident saw one confirmed dead at the scene and another still missing.
The Dive Industry Association of BC says the trio were conducting a deep technical dive along an underwater wall, but the group says "complications arose" during the dive.
The association hasn't elaborated on what exactly went wrong.
The names of the victims have not been released.
