A car crash near the Pattullo Bridge in New Westminster temporarily shut down southbound traffic on a major road Sunday.
One man went to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the collision on McBride Boulevard, according to police.
It is unclear how many people were involved in the crash.
A picture of the accident showed what appeared to be a totaled car and a minivan with damage to its front end.
Witnesses said a Nissan Altima lost control, veering into oncoming traffic before smashing into several vehicles.
"I was heading north coming over the Pattullo Bridge and this guy came towards me and he was flying," said semi-truck driver Bruce Harris. "He came up over the curb and careened off the back end of my truck and the side of it, then he continued on."
New Westminster Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
Southbound traffic was shut down on McBride Boulevard until about 6:30 p.m.
