A man is in hospital after being pinned under a riding mower in Surrey on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., as the worker was cutting grass in Glenwood Park.
Somehow the city worker went into the pond, and was caught underneath the mower. It is not clear exactly how the man came to be trapped, nor is it known how long he was submerged in the pond.
A witness told CTV News the man's coworker lifted the mower off of him with the help of a bystander. They pulled the man from the water and performed CPR while waiting for emergency responders to arrive, according to the witness.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition.
