WorkSafe BC is investigating after a man was killed at a construction site in Vancouver’s Point Grey neighbourhood on Tuesday.

Spokeswoman Donna Freeman said the agency received a report from police that a retaining wall fell on the worker at a residential construction site in the 4500-block of Langara Avenue.

“That’s preliminary information only, it won’t be confirmed until after we’re able to talk to parties at the scene and examine the scene,” Freeman said.

The name and age of the victim have not been released.

Investigators are not expected to confirm the circumstances until later in the evening, and WorkSafe said more details should be released on Wednesday.
