Vancouver police are investigating after a young woman's body was found behind a gas station in East Vancouver Thursday evening.
Const. Jana McGuinness said police responded to the Petro Canada at Kingsway and Nanaimo streets at around 7 p.m. after the unresponsive woman, in her 20s, was found by a friend. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
McGuinness said police are considering the death suspicious until an autopsy can confirm the cause of death.
The identity of the woman has not been confirmed.
