The family of truck driver Vic Fraser wants to keep his case alive in the hope someone will be brought to justice, even though ten years have passed since his murder.

Fraser was stabbed to death after he interrupted a thief in the process of robbing his sister's home in Surrey in March 1998. He had been planning to meet his sister's boyfriend.

No charges have ever been laid in relation to his death.

"I felt timing was so important with different things," said Jeanie Fraser, Vic's sister. "I felt maybe after ten years, we can bring him back to life and someone's going to talk ... and tell the police."

A convoy of trucks drove to Fraser's gravesite at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby on Saturday and raised their cranes in salute to honour his memory.

Vic's brother, Gord Fraser, spoke at the ceremony.

"I look at each and every face ... the ones who didn't know him, you should have. He lives on in every face I look at here today," he said.

At the time of his death, the crane Fraser had operated for years was used to carry his casket and placed it in the grave.
