It'll be party time in Vancouver tonight as the Canucks entertain the Boston Bruins in Game One of the Stanley Cup final.

Several downtown blocks are cordoned off where the game will be shown on giant screens.

Ron Massar, a 43-year-old property manager, will be among the thousands of fans watching.

Massar says he's arranged his work day to ensure he will be off at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, when the puck drops.

He says anticipating the start of the game is sending shivers down his spine.

After the game, tens of thousands of fans are expected to pour into the streets for parties.

The festivities are likely to get bigger with each game, especially if the Canucks win.

Transit service has been rerouted to get around the crowds.

Police are spending half-a-million dollars for extra officers to ensure the street party doesn't turn ugly.
