Toppling crane kills worker on Canada Line bridge

A 22-year-old man has died after a crane collapsed on the Canada Line rapid transit project in south Vancouver.

Police say the man was on the ground when the crane toppled over.

The crane was lifting materials onto a bridge that will be used to take the transit line over the Fraser River from Vancouver to Richmond.

Another crane is being brought in to lift the debris so the man's body can be removed from the site.
