A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault charges after a Kamloops man suffered severe injuries when he was smashed across the head with a longboard.
Defence lawyer Tom Weiss says the teenager will be sentenced in December, following a psychiatric assessment and pre-sentence report.
Weiss says the youth is currently being held in a foster facility on Vancouver Island and is being monitored around-the-clock.
Forty-six-year-old Michael Forry was in a coma for months following the March 24th attack that occurred as he confronted a group of teens outside a convenience store, but Forry has since made a remarkable recovery -- although he says he remembers nothing of the longboard-swinging incident.
