Suspects sought in syringe attack on city worker in Nanaimo, B.C.
Mounties are investigating after a 58-year-old man was reportedly stabbed with syringes on Tuesday morning at a park in Nanaimo, B.C.
The victim, a City of Nanaimo employee, was assaulted in a washroom at Maffeo Sutton Park in the city centre at approximately 10 a.m., according to a statement from the Nanaimo RCMP.
Investigators are looking for two suspects who fled the scene following the attack, police said.
The victim suffered wounds to his face and abdomen and was transported to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for treatment.

The second suspect is described as a white man with dark hair and wearing dark clothes. He sustained facial injuries during the attack on the victim, police said.
"I want to stress to the community, please do not approach anyone matching the descriptions," Const. Sherri Wade said in the statement. "It (is) our priority to find the suspects."
