The RCMP has identified a man who was shot in Surrey on Tuesday.
The victim, 23-year-old Michael Allen Sing, apparently suffered multiple gunshot wounds while in the passenger seat of a Jeep Cherokee driving near 104 Avenue and 152nd Street in Surrey.
The driver managed to flag down police.
RCMP Corp. Dale Carr said the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was likely on its way to hospital.
"We feel the shooting took place at another location - perhaps in Surrey - and that the victim and his friend were on their way to hospital - or to receive medical aid - when they flagged down the officer that came to their aid," he said.
Sing later died in hospital.
